A thousand cameras. A handful of eyes.

Overview

The Agentic Video Wall continuously scans every camera and surfaces the most relevant focus event every 60 seconds — giving security operators a live pulse of their campus without requiring them to watch every camera.

Status Quo

Few operators. Thousands of cameras.

Enterprise security operation centers often have <10 operators monitoring hundreds or even thousands of cameras.

The Problem

Most video walls create an illusion of awareness. Operators don’t know where to look.

🛑 The room feels covered.
But that sense of coverage is misleading.

Video walls rely on operators noticing something unusual. But a rotating grid can’t guarantee the right camera is visible when something happens.

What Truly Matters

“Focus Event” is whatever a sharp operator would naturally focus on — given everything happening across the site right now.

The Focus Event isn’t necessarily a threat. It’s simply the thing most worth looking at right now.

How might we seamlessly surface Focus Events within an operator’s monitoring workflow?

Ideation

A “news agent” for the campus, prioritizing Focus Events to provide a live pulse.

  1. How does it fit into our product?

From 1000 cameras to what matters

The Focus Event Agent turns thousands of camera feeds into a live pulse of what matters. It sits between broad situational awareness and precise threat detection, surfacing relevant events before they become actionable alerts.

  1. How should Focus Events differ from alerts?

Focus Events optimize for attention. Alerts optimize for action.

  1. Where should the Agent live?

Approach 1

🧬 Agentic Cell

Turn any video wall camera cell into a live news feed, surfacing focus events for operators.

✅ Works within the existing video wall

❌ Blends camera feeds with Focus Events

❌ No history of past events

❌ Competes with camera feeds for attention

Approach 2

🧱 Agentic Wall

A dedicated agentic video wall that continuously surfaces both live and past Focus Events.

❌ Requires a dedicated wall

✅ Consistent Focus Event experience

✅ More space to surface past events

✅ More flexibility for configuration

Trade-off

Capability [video wall] > Integration [video cell]

While the Agentic Cell offered tighter integration with the existing video wall, we prioritized a richer Focus Event experience. A dedicated wall gives the agent enough space to surface what matters now, while providing the context and history operators need to understand what’s happening over time. In a GSOC, adding another dedicated screen is a relatively small trade-off.

The goal wasn’t to replace the existing video wall, but to add an intelligent layer on top of it.

Design

1 - The Feeds

Video Wall Layout

V1: Regular video wall layout with focus events
Looks almost the same as regular video wall, hard to notice the difference.

V2: Single focus event + pinned events + past events
Too crowded, hard to manage

V3: Focus events + Past event feed side by side

2 - Live Events

The Agent at Work

Loading State

A scanning animation in the loading state suggests continuous monitoring.

Live Focus Event

A subtle blue pulse around newly surfaced events creates a sense of immediacy

3 - Past Events

Agentic Video Wall expands the value of the foundation package

The Agentic Video Wall was designed as part of our Foundation package — giving customers an intelligent VMS experience powered by vision-language models, without requiring them to purchase the full Threat Detection & Response package which remains focused on precise, actionable alerts.
